Without taking your eyes off the floating corpse ahead you quietly fumble in your leather pouch in search of a scroll  The luminous figure seems content to shimmer among the dark prison cells without approaching. Casting spells at the undead is far from your specialty, so you hope your simple Holy Cleansing spell will have any effect. 

Whispering the blessed words you are surprised by a sudden glow. Angelic light surrounds the floating orc. The brilliance fills an unexpected square shape that filled the passage. It was a Gelatinous Cube! Inside is a fallen Orc suspended in its clear, digestive fluid. The amoebae like monster rapidly twitches, causing the corpse to join its spasm. The magic radiance filling it suddenly dissipates, and so does the Gelatinous Cube. Apparently a cleric's cleansing magic works on all sorts of filth. 

Tossing the spent scroll to the ground, you approach the fallen Orc. Sound erupts from all directions in the dark prison corridors before you have a chance to inspect it for clues. The gleam from your magic has attracted the attention of others lurking among the foul iron bars segmenting this large dungeon. 

First you hear a frightening cacophony of madness growing from your left side. Your dim torch highlights a group of Ghouls bounding towards you. These blasphemous creatures are filled with rage by the holy blaze you brought to their domain. Of course their gibbous charge may just be driven by their desire to consume your warm flesh. 

Just as quickly you hear from your right the multitudinous guttural yells of A Band of Orcs charging. They scream, "Hail Gzoroth!" in unison, tusk's baring in a rage as they see their fallen comrade.
